As an epidemiologist and neuroscientist, my research area focuses on prenatal health and brain development in population-based studies at the Erasmus Medical Center (dept. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry). One of the topics that I have been studying in-depth is the influence of (prenatal) substance use exposure and neurodevelopmental outcomes, including behavior, cognition, brain structure and connectivity measured with neuroimaging. Next to my research, I also disseminate this knowledge and research skills to bachelor and master students at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (dept. Psychology, Education and Child Studies).
